Born May 5, 1926 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Norman W. and Susan J. (Bartlett) Millheim. She and her husband, Walter L. Bartlow, celebrated 54 years of marriage before his death in 2000.

She was born August 7, 1934 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late William and Lula (Waite) Frederick. In November 1952 she married Charles Davis Golder, who preceded her in death in 1990. Together they celebrated 38 years of marriage.
