Dear Elaine.

Not sure if you remember me but I was a part of Dick's pelleting group many years ago. I was shocked and saddened to learn of Dick's passing. While it's been many years since I worked at Sprout's, I'll always remember my time with Dick. He took me under his wing and helped a young engineer grow and for that I've always been grateful. He was patient, caring, and a great role model.

May your memories of your time together sustain you during this time of loss.

P.S. Linda was the source of the tie pattern. It was always fun to see what new tie you created for Dick.

To the Leaver Family,

I heard the sad news this morning and want to send my condolence to the Leaver family. Dick and I worked on many projects over the 30 years I worked for Sprout Waldron .He was always a big help in solving the problems I encountered in the field. I have many reflections of the good times we had during the times we spent fixing or solving the many problems we had with the complex projects we collaborated on.

Dick was a true friend and I will always be appreciative of the help he rendered when problems needed a solution. Dick will always be held in high esteem by me as was one I could always count on when the chips were down. God bless him and your family at this difficult time.

Dear Dick Leaver Family,

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Dick. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dick helped me grow up at Sprout-Waldron and for that I will be eternally grateful. He was always able to give me a hand up and entertain my less than intelligent questions. He was without any doubt the authority on pelleting in the United States, he was always called on to lend his knowledge to the industry and he did it well. He was challenged at Sprout, each time he met the call.

I can remember his stories about fly fishing on the Beaverhead in Montana, I wanted to do that. He sparked my interest, and finally two years ago I fly fished in Montana. I thought of him during my float trip.

I will miss him, in deepest sympathy, Randy Cline
