Dear Fred and Family, I am deeply saddened to learn of Eileen's passing. We shared many wonderful times in Eagles Mere enjoying the weather, dinner and laughs on our porches. Dear family of Ilene.....
It is with great sorrow that I have learned of Ilene's passing, thru our Alumnae connection, Helen Dgien. Ilene and I chose to pursue the Nursing field after our Graduation from Muncy High School, and we corresponded quite frequently during our Nursing School Days, and thereafter at the Holiday time.....
She was no doubt a most wonderful person, and led a full life until her health problems took over. The last we saw each other was at the last High School Alumnae Reunion, and I am so thankful for that visit. On reading her Obituary of her life and how fully she embraced all her time with us, I know she is in a good place now, with her care in the Lord's hands. Please know that we are thinking of you, and hoping you will know that our Prayers and Thoughts are with you all.....today and in the future........With Love, Ada and Charles Land, Clarkston, Michigan

We were very sad to hear of your mom's passing, she was a very special friend to many of us here in Port Dover. Your mom was happiest when her children and grandchildren visited Dover , you were her pride and joy. Enjoy the memories.

Ilene was a gracious woman and a friend who will be missed. Although she has not been seen as much on the "mountain" recently, I will remember all the energy she devoted to the Eagles Mere Athletic Association and other organizations "back in the day". Memorable events for the family and for the friends of the arts happened on the Amsler lawn. May she rest in peace.
