Diann E. Rupert

Diann E. Rupert, 81, of Rt. 405, Watsontown, died Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born July 21, 1938 in DuBois, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ray Lee and Lloyd Virginia (Graham) Dixon.  She and her husband, Ernest D. Rupert, celebrated 57 years of marriage before his death Nov. 3, 2016.

While raising her family, she assisted her husband with his business, Rupert’s Upholstery, Rt. 405, Watsontown,

Diann was a member of St. John’s (Delaware Run) Lutheran Church, Watsontown.

She loved country music and was a member of the American Folk Musician Association for over 60 years, where she served as past treasurer and on the District #8 Executive Board for seven years.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, David E. and Debra Rupert, Joshua, Misty and Ashley Tyree grandchildren of Berryville, Arkansas, and James A. Rupert, partner Joan Dickson and granddaughter Jessica Rupert, of Danville, Pa; three brothers, Ronald, Keith and Neil Dixon; three sisters, Vallery, Eileen and Celeste; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27th,  at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Robert Rice, pastor of Muncy Baptist Church, officiating. For everyone’s safety we ask that all attendees adhere to the social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.

Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either St. John’s (Delaware Run) Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, Watsontown, PA 17777 or the American Cancer Society, Lycoming County Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
