Zara L. Smith

Zara L. Smith, 86, of Milton, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. 

Born on January 14, 1939, in Turbotville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Miriam (Mitcheltree) Myers. On June 26, 1971, she married Daniel Smith, who predeceased her on June 29, 2020. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage. 

Zara was a high school graduate and worked various jobs as a cook in the area, which she was very passionate about.

Surviving is one son, John Stahl, of Milton; one stepson, Bob (Barb) Smith, of Milton; and various grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one daughter, Judith Wright; and one daughter-in-law, Janet Stahl.

A private committal will take place in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
