Virginia M. Beck

Virginia M. Beck, 97, a longtime resident of Allenwood, died Thursday, November 27, 2025, at her home.

Born February 4, 1928, in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Stryker) McCormick.

Virginia was a graduate of Montgomery High School. She spent much of her life raising and taking care of her family and home.

Virginia enjoyed crocheting and donated over 500 baby blankets through project Linus. She was also a former member of the Allenwood Fire Department auxiliary, now Warrior Run Fire Department, where she helped with meals and numerous events. Virginia also enjoyed attending the former New Columbia Senior Center.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Melissa Beck; three grandchildren and spouses, Adam and Emily Beck, Joshua and Andrea Beck and Jason and Kate Beck; and three great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Addison and Liam.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Beck; and one sister, Geraldine Jarrett.

Private interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Montgomery.
