Thomas E. DeWald, 90, of Muncy, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Edenbrook South, Williamsport.

Born April 16, 1935 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Collins W. “Jake” and Margaret J. (Riggle) DeWald. On Oct. 14, 1960 he married the former Emma C. Malloy. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage before her death just a few months ago on July 19th.

Tom was a 1954 graduate of Muncy High School. He served in the Army and Army Reserves for six years. Tom worked at the former Mode-Craft, Muncy for 18 years and as a traffic manager at Young Industries, Muncy for 22 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of the Muncy Presbyterian Church, where he served as trustee. Tom was a member of the Muncy Lodge #299, F & AM and a lifetime member of the Muncy Valley Moose.

He enjoyed gardening and the companionship of his dogs. Most of all, Tom loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are a brother, Frank C. DeWald and his wife, Christine, of Muncy; a sister, Nancy Clayton, of Muncy; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 in the Muncy Cemetery, 204 East Penn St., Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Thomas’s name be made to the memorial fund at the Muncy Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 276, Muncy, PA 17756.
