Susan May Cooley

Susan May Cooley, 82, of Lewisburg and formerly of Fultonville, NY died Friday, May 15, 2026, at Wellspan Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born on March 26, 1944, in Gloversville, NY, a daughter of the late Dana and Catherine Campbell. On August 7, 1971, she married Lee Henry Cooley, who predeceased her on June 14, 2010.

Susan was a graduate of Johnstown High School, NY. She spent most of her life raising and caring for her family.

Susan was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed bowling, shopping and just a good conversation with family and friends. Most importantly, Susan cherished time spent with her family and caring for her husband.

She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Sharp and her husband, Thomas, of Holliston, MA; two grandchildren, Alexander James Lee Sharp and Leopold Henry James Sharp; two step grandchildren, Perry Sharp and his wife, Mikayla and Dev Murphy and her husband, Doug; nieces and nephews, Deborah Loveys, Bill Loveys and Kathleen Montgomery; a brother-in-law, Robert Cooley and his wife, Barbara, and their children, David, Robin, Sarah and Linda.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Jane Ann Loveys; and one nephew, Chris Loveys.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22 in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville, N.Y.
