Stuart G. Greene

Stuart G. Greene, 64, of Montoursville, died Tuesday, April 21, 2026 in Muncy at the home of his daughter, with whom his has resided with recently.

Born July 20, 1961 in Troy, PA, he was a twin son born to the late Bernard “Pete” Greene and Martha (Brown) Covey, who survives of Gillett. He married the former Marian “Lori” Buck, who also survives of Muncy. Together they celebrated 25 years of marriage.

Stuart attended Canton High School with the class of 1979 and excelled in wrestling and archery, receiving multiple trophies. He worked for many years at Springs Windows Fashion, Montgomery. Stuart retired from Kellogg Co., Muncy in 2024 after 12 years of employment.

He entered the masons on October 15, 2019 with the Eureka Lodge #355 F & AM, Montoursville, where he served as Worshipful Master the year of 2023.

Stuart was an avid gun collector and liked target shooting. He was fond of fishing and hunting and was proud of being a Mason; enjoying the camaraderie with his fellow Brothers. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters, Alexis Heydenreich, and her husband Luther, of Muncy and Misty Greene and her companion, Brian Gorney, of Montoursville; a son Joshua Metzger, and his wife, Jessie, of Warrensville; four siblings and their spouses, Vicki and Rodney Mott, of SC, Cynthia and Robert “Brownie” Brown, of TN, Brian Greene, of Dewart and Peter and Donna Greene, of OH; two sisters-in-law, Cathleen “Cathy” Greene, of Gillett and Marta Greene, of Canton; and many grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a step father, Laverne Covey; twin brother, Steven G. Greene; and brother, Douglas Greene.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
