Stephen A. Delany, 68, of Muncy, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born January 14, 1957, in Muncy, Stephen was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose greatest joys were found in the simplest pleasures of life. On April 12, 1980, he married the former Betty Berger, who survives.
Stephen retired from Muncy Machine & Tool.
He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and tractor rides with his grandchildren by his side. A talented woodworker, Stephen took pride in crafting pieces that reflected his patience and creativity. He was also an avid supporter of the 4-H, where he enjoyed sharing his skills with his children and grandchildren. Stephen was a lifetime member of the Muncy Area Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife are one daughter, Grace Delany, and one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Courtney Delany. He was the proud grandfather of Sophia, Cash and Watson Delany, and Jaxon and Mason Paige.
Stephen’s memory will live on in the stories shared, lessons he taught, and the love he gave freely.
The family is planning a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 7, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2041 Route 442 Hwy, Muncy. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Stephen’s name be made to UPMC Home Care and Hospice, online at www.susquehannahealthfoundation.org.
