Sarah J. Brooks, formerly of Williamsport, died on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
She was born on September 9, 1929 in Buttonwood, a daughter of the late Floyd and Irene (Bubb) Schmouder. She married L. Calvin Brooks, who survives, and together they celebrated 71 years of marriage.
Sarah was a 1947 graduate of Liberty High School and worked as a seamstress at the former Weldon Manufacturing.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Ann Engler Mertz and her husband, Neil, of Northumberland; one grandson, Michael Engler, of Orange, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Tucker Engler.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
