Longtime Lewisburg resident Robert Bontrager, a retired journalism professor, died Thursday, July 31 in hospice at the RiverWoods Nursing Care Center. He was 91. The cause was complications from kidney and heart disease following surgery to repair a broken leg. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Albright Care Services at 90 Maplewood Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Please visit
