Richard W. “Dick” Diggan, 79, of Watsontown, died Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home.

Born June 5, 1946, he was a son of the late Richard Sr. and Margaret (Yancsics) Diggan. On January 10, 1985, he married the former Roxane Keefer, who survives.

Dick was a 1965 graduate of Lewisburg High School and later the Thompson Business Institute, Harrisburg. Early in life he worked for Kraft foods and the Milton Standard Journal in the sales department. Dick retired after 26 years as a K-9 Officer for the Milton Borough Police Department.

Dick was instrumental in finding Strike K-9 and enjoyed training police dogs.

He was a member of the FOP Susquehanna Valley Lodge #52.

Dick enjoyed camping, hunting, boating and fishing.

He was a member of the former Grace Fellowship Church in Avis.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Jeffrey (Mindy) Diggan, Eric (Amy) Diggan, and Michele Diggan; one stepdaughter, Nicole (Andy) Powell; 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Frank Diggan.

Private burial will be held in McEwensville Presbyterian Cemetery.

Contributions in Dick’s memory may be made to any animal shelters, children’s hospitals, cancer organizations or Tunnels to Towers.
