Penny L. Zimmerman

Penny L. Zimmerman, 63, of New Berlin, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born January 31, 1962 in Lewisburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Jane (Kerstetter) Murphy. On March 10, 2000 she married Charles Zimmerman, who survives.

Penny attended Lewisburg High School. She enjoyed cooking and worked as a chef for Chi Phi at Bucknell University.

She loved spending time at the beach.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Jennifer Munns; daughter-in-law, Diane Lewellyn; two brothers, Joe and David Murphy; two sisters, Sharon Wright and Rhonda Murphy; four grandchildren, Keira and Gavin Munns, Ethan and Alexa and one great-grandson, Jordon Lynch Bearcloth and two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Aubree.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Nancy E. Murphy.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
