Oscar Robert Smith

Oscar Robert Smith, 78, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

He was born April 19, 1941 in Muncy, a son of the late George and Ethel (Charles) Smith.

Oscar attended Watsontown High School.  He served honorably in the United States Air Force and later worked as a general contractor.

Oscar was a member of the Bower-Decker Post 251 American Legion, Montgomery.  He was an avid collector of model cars, stamps and horse shoes.

Surviving are three sons, Bobby and David Smith, both of New York, and Tim Smith, of Florida; one brother, Edward Smith, of Williamsport; two sisters, Georgene Gamble, of Williamsport, and Lillian Barger, of Montgomery; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son,  Jeffery Smith; one daughter, Dawn Smith; one brother, Miles Smith; and two sisters, Agnes Bassett and Flora Mae Getgen.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
