Nancy L. Fisher, 89, a longtime resident of Montgomery, died on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Muncy Place.
Born April 2, 1936, in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel (Stover) Bartlett. On February 1, 1958, she married Paul G. Fisher, who predeceased her on January 9, 2003.
Nancy was a 1954 graduate of Montgomery High School. In earlier years, she worked at the former Montgomery Mills. Nancy spent most of her adult years raising and caring for her family.
She was a member of Clinton Baptist Church, Montgomery.
Nancy enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting and school events. She also loved going to the movies with her sister and was an avid reader.
Surviving are four children, Julie Gable, of Hughesville, Susan Lavan and her husband, Robert, of Perkasie, Jamie Marshall and her husband, James, of Montgomery, and Paul Fisher Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Lake Tahoe, CA; one sister, Judy Marshall, of Watsontown; 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon and Zachery Gable, Samantha, Michael and Christopher Lavan, Lindsey Roth, Casey Snook, Tyler Marshall and Gabbi Fisher; and 7 great-grandchildren, Ryelynn, Finnegan, Finley, Hudson, Sawyer, Everett and Owen.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Virginia Wertz and Sherry Wright; and one son-in-law, Sidney Gable.
Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 27 at Clinton Baptist Church, 60 Warren St. Montgomery, where a funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. David Jacobs, officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
The family would like to thank the Cardiac Therapy staff at UPMC, Williamsport, and the staff at Muncy Place, for the exceptional care given.
