Michael Steven Witmer passed quietly at Watsontown Rehab on Wed. July 15, 2026, where he had been a patient since June.
Mike was born on October 19, 1957 to Eugene and Norma Witmer in Lewisburg Evangelical Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his father and stepmother, Eugene and Madeline Witmer; mother and stepfather, Norma and Robert Witmer; two brothers, Robbie Witmer and Mark Witmer; two sisters Teresa Oakes and Terry Printzenhoff; grandparents, Arthur and Florence Witmer and Alem and Frances Hill; a niece, Kristin Mark; and a nephew, Kevin Callahan, Jr.
He is survived by three sisters, Linda (Robert) Renock, Evansville,, IN; Kiona (Kevin) Callahan, Westfield, NY; and Lynn (Alan) Wynn, Watsontown; two brothers, Eugene "Bud" (Rose) Witmer, Statesville, NC; Dave Witmer, Evansville, IN; special friend, Deborah Lindauer, Watsontown; uncle, Larry (Linda) Witmer, Watsontown; and several nieces and nephews.
Mike has requested there be no visitation. Burial will be private.
