Maxine L. Stahl

Maxine L. Stahl, 86, of Montoursville, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a brief battle with cancer, Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Muncy Place.

Born October 19, 1939 in Montoursville, she was one of 13 children born to Samuel and Elva (Hall) Leavy. On November 8, 1954, she married Franklin W. Stahl, who preceded her in death April 10, 2012. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Maxine attended Montoursville schools. She worked as a sewer at the Schnadig Corporation, Montoursville, retiring in 1997.

Maxine enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as, cooking, camping, gardening and tending her flowers.

Surviving are a son, Tim Stahl, and his wife, Audrey, of Cogan Station; a daughter, Vickie Bower, of Montoursville; a sister, Arlene Jarrell, of Montoursville; three grandchildren, Joshua Bower, and his wife, Joani, Andrew Stahl, and his wife, Samantha and Benjamin Stahl; and five great-grandchildren, Breanna Bower, Kaitlyn Miller, Amaya Bower, Hannah Stahl and Jordan Stahl.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two infant babies; six brothers; and five sisters.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2026 at Grenoble's, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chris Santalucia, officiating.

Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran (White) Church Cemetery, Muncy.
