Mary M. Kitchen, 77, of South Williamsport, passed away peacefully Monday, December 8, 2025, at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville.
Born February 9, 1948, in Elkland, she was the daughter of the late Mary Margaret Marsh. On June 2, 1990, she married Earl F. Kitchen, who survives. Together they celebrated 35 years of marriage.
Mary was a graduate of Elkland High School. She worked as an accountant at several local manufacturing businesses, retiring from the former Linear Dynamics, Montgomery, after 20 years.
Crafting was Mary’s passion, experimenting with candle making, stamping and making travel pillows which she gave as gifts and sold at craft fairs. Most of all, she loved her family, children and holding babies, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Tammy St. James, of Montgomery and Earl Leslie II and Stacy St. James, of So. Williamsport; a brother, Donald Cushing, of Elmira, NY; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren with one due in January.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a brother, Greg Lauffer and a sister, Gertrude Orr.
The family welcomes friends to visit from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, December 12, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
