Mark Boyd Woodhead Jr.

Mark B. Woodhead, Jr., 47, of South Williamsport, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at his home.

Born June 11, 1979 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Donna Irene (Fulmer) Woodhead and Mark B. Woodhead Sr., of Pennsdale.

Mark was a graduate of Sullivan County High School and received an Associate degree in computer science from Lycoming College. Prior to enlisting in the Air Force, Mark worked part-time at Port Elevator Company, Williamsport. He served honorably in the US Air Force for six and a half years traveling the world three times over, making stops in South Korea and Germany, where he worked in the bomb dumps at the air bases. After his honorable discharge, he spent a year in Qatar before coming back to the Williamsport area. Mark worked at PMF Industries in Williamsport as a machinist before accepting VA disability.

He was a member of the Church of God, Muncy Valley and a member and past commander at the Edward J. Smith Post 3428 V.F.W., Muncy. Mark was a member of the Royal P. Steinbacher American Legion Post 617, South Williamsport and a former member of the Glenn Sharrow Post 35 American Legion, Hughesville.

Mark believed in the love and faith of God, becoming an ordained chaplain. He shared this love with others through sermons that he wrote and posted on Facebook. Mark enjoyed writing and making maple syrup.

Surviving in addition to his father are one son, Xian Christopher Woodhead, of Des Moines, IA; one daughter, Rosealyn Donna Woodhead, of Muncy; one brother, Benjamin Woodhead, of Pennsdale; one sister, Jessica Woodhead, of Montoursville; battle brother, David Si, of Des Moines, IA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his mother he was predeceased by an uncle, Wayne Fulmer, Jr.; brother, Michael Woodhead; paternal grandparents, Robert and Joan Woodhead; and maternal grandparents, Wayne and Ruth Fulmer.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

If friends so desire, memorial contributions in Mark's name may be made to a local catholic church.
