Marian Edna Jarrett, 95, of Lewisburg, died March 29, 2026 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
Born January 24, 1931 in Penn Twp., Snyder County, she was a daughter of the late Foster and Hazel (Herman) Klingler. On March 29, 1952 she married Richard L. Jarrett, who preceded her in death June 3, 2021. Together they celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Marian was a 1949 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
She was a longtime member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. Marian was very active within the church and served as a representative for the church in the Lutheran Brotherhood.
Marian was a member of the William Cameron Women’s Fire Auxiliary. She also served as a Cub Scout den mother for Pack 3509.
In her spare time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, canning, cooking and traveling with her husband in the Merck Travel Club.
Marion devoted her life to God and her church doing service for others, but her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her three children, Craig (Nanette) Jarrett, Cherie (Mary Lou Shedden) Jarrett, all of New Columbia and Jodi Jarrett, of Lewisburg; brother, Foster Klingler, of TX; two sisters, Jean Klingler, of Lewisburg and Louise Reep, of VA; three grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Jarrett, Justin (Elise) Jarrett and Jonathan (Sara) Jarrett and six great-grandchildren, Grace, Grant, Parker, Payton, Piper and Romee.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Jarrett, three brothers, Leroy Leitzel and Richard and John Klingler; and two sisters, Irene Ammon and Betty Klingler.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third St. Lewisburg, where a Memorial service will be held at 11 with her pastor, the Rev. Katy Moran, officiating.
Burial will follow in Lewisburg Cemetery.
Contributions in Marian’s name can be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third St. Lewisburg or to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to thank the staff at Buffalo Valley Nursing Home, the Rehabilitation Staff and the staff at Wellspan Evangelical Hospice for the excellent care and compassion that they shared with our mother.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
