Marian M. Breed

Marian M. Breed, 91, of Lewisburg, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born May 7, 1923 in Warrensburg, NY, a daughter of the late Guy Howard and Amy Knight (Sherman) Mason. Her husband of 48 years, Walter Dale Breed, preceded her in death June 19, 1992.

Marian was a 1941 graduate of Essex High School, NY and a graduate of Albany Business College. She worked as a finisher at the former Scott Paper Company in Fort Edward, NY for 20 years, retiring in 1985.

Marian was a member of the Sunbury Bible Church, Northumberland.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Pauline Breed, of Lewisburg and Jeffrey and Melissa Breed, of South Carolina; two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy and Scott Short, of New Columbia and Amy Breed, of California; a sister, Hilda Martin, of New York; ten grandchildren, Dale Jr., Brian, Jeffrey Jr., Jessica, Jaime, Jason, Stella, Daniel, Rachael and Tabitha; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Lyle Mason; a sister, Fern Cunnion; and a granddaughter, Marie Russell.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held privately in Montandon Cemetery.
