Margaret Ann "Peg" Swinehart

Margaret Ann “Peg” Swinehart, 89, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born August 3, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Florence (Murphy) Fetzer. On May 23, 1953 she married Harry J. Swinehart, Jr., who preceded her in death October 26, 1993. Together they celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Peg attended Milton High School. She retired from International Paper.

Peg was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church, rural Lewisburg.

Surviving are a two daughters and one son-in-law, Debra and Barry Catherman, of Lewisburg and Cindy Swanger, of Perkasie; six grandchildren, Michael, Katrina, Lyle, Zane, Evan and Levi and four great-grandchildren, Alexander, Justin, Keira and Kora.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Crystal Swinehart, son-in-law, Dennis Swanger, granddaughter Kellyn Swanger; four siblings, Clyde, Helen, Robert and James and Mom and Pop Smith, who helped raise her.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 30th in Church Hill Cemetery (Twin Churches).

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to United in Christ Lutheran Church, 1875 Churches Rd., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
