Lois M. Geiser

Lois M. Geiser, 91, of Montandon, walked into the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

Born February 11, 1932, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Erma B. (Culp) Derk. On August 24, 1958 she married David W. Geiser, who survives. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Lois was a 1950 graduate of Montandon High School. She worked as a bank teller for the former Commonwealth Bank, now First Commonwealth Bank, Lewisburg, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of Montandon United Methodist Church.

Lois served several terms as the West Chillisquaque Township auditor.

She enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her garden and taking care of her lawn.

Most importantly, Lois loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Scott Geiser, of Montandon; one daughter, Lori Myers, of Northumberland and four grandchildren, Matthew and Melissa Myers and Taylor and Dawson Geiser.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, George W Derk.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11 at Montandon United Methodist Church, 231 Main St., Montandon, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Carol Haas, officiating.

Burial will follow in Montandon Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions in Lois’s memory be made to Montandon United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 86, Montandon, PA 17850.
