Kenneth Snyder, 90, of Pennsdale, died Friday, September 26, 2025 at Wolf Run Village, with his family by his side.
Born May 2, 1935 in Turbotville, he was a son of the late Harry W. and Effel (Bieber) Snyder. Ken married the former Joan Koons, together they celebrated 63 years of marriage before her death in 2017.
He was a 1953 graduate of Nordmont High School. Earlier in life, Ken worked at the former Modecraft, Muncy. He then worked as a self employed contractor for many years prior to taking the maintenance supervisor position at the Muncy School District. Ken finished his career as a contractor, retiring in 2007.
He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Muncy, the Muncy Masonic Lodge #299, F & AM, the Williamsport Scottish Rite and the Muncy Jaycees.
Ken enjoyed watching all sports, attending his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events, gardening and woodworking, especially making furniture for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are three daughters, Melanie (Gregory) Eiswerth, of Muncy, Pamela (Valentine) Fenstermacher, of Watsontown and Betsey Richner, of Muncy; a sister, Jean Harris, of Turbotville; nine grandchildren, Ethan (Vanessa) Eiswerth and Trevor (Ashley) Eiswerth, Mary K. Snyder, Tyler (Katie) and Dustin (Megan) Richner, Kiah Richner, and Noah Snyder, Lisa (Fred) Wilt and Tracy (Jason) Horn; and 15 great-grandchildren, Mari and Calise Eiswerth, Carter Richner, Zoey Richner-Gephart, Violet, Adley and Cohen Richner Shoemaker, Emberly and Grayson Richner, Cindie and Alexis Wilt, and Devin, Ryan, Jacob and Emma Horn.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by three sons, Douglas, Kenneth II and Matthew.
The family would like to thank everyone at Wolf Run Village for their care and kindness during Kenneth’s stay there, and Geisinger Hospice for the care provided in his final days.
Friends will be received from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m.
