K. Anne Lyon

May 29, 1934 — Jun 22, 2026

K. Anne Lyon, 92, a longtime resident of Muncy Creek Township passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026, at UPMC Susquehanna in Muncy.

Born on her family’s farm on May 29, 1934, in Danville, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph R. and Ruth I. (Geary) Beagle.

On August 11, 1956, Anne married the love of her life, Robert T. "Bob" Lyon. Together they shared nearly 65 years of devoted marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love.

A 1952 graduate of Danville High School, Anne dedicated herself to her family as a homemaker. She found great joy in creating a warm and welcoming home and took immense pride in raising and caring for those she loved.

Anne was a faithful member of Muncy Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years and was also a member of the Muncy Historical Society. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and collecting beautiful historical coverlets. Anne had a special affection for animals, loved spending time with a good book, and delighted in exploring antique shops. In her later years, she embraced new technology with curiosity and enthusiasm, always eager to learn new ways to stay connected with those around her. Above all else, Anne treasured the moments spent with her family, whose love and companionship were the greatest blessings of her life.

She leaves behind a family who will always cherish her memory: her daughters, Susanne Yoder and her husband, Larry, of Hughesville, and Christine Birkenmaier and her husband, Rich, of West Chester; her son, Robert Lyon and his wife, Tammy, of Mechanicsburg; her brother, David Beagle and his wife, Arlene, of Danville; six grandchildren, Melissa Lester and her husband, Scott, Mathew Feigles and his wife, Naomi, Anne Weiss and her husband, Christopher, Jeff Birkenmaier and his wife, Meagan, Robby Lyon and his wife, Claudia, and Jonathan Lyon; as well as six great-grandchildren, who brought her much happiness and pride. She also had numerous nieces and nephews that loved their “Aunt Anne” and the feeling was very much reciprocated.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Anne was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale and Donald Beagle.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with burial in Muncy Cemetery.

With heartfelt gratitude, Anne’s loved ones acknowledge their sincere appreciation to the many healthcare professionals and caregivers who cared for Anne during her later years and final days. Their compassion, patience, and dedication enriched her life and brought comfort and peace.

Flowers will be provided by the family. Those wishing to honor Anne's memory may make a memorial contribution to Muncy Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 276, Muncy, PA 17756.
