John H. Stahl, 74, of Mifflinburg, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at his home.
Born on August 1, 1950 in Lewisburg, he was a son of the late Howard “Homer” and Alma (Furman) Stahl. On May 18, 1974 he married the former Bonita J. (Bonnie) Boyer, who survives.
John was a 1968 graduate of Milton High School. He worked for the former Jasper Wood Products, Watsontown until it closed. John then began a woodworking business with his wife and together they would sell Santas, etc. at Chriskindl Market.
He enjoyed being outside in nature, gardening and making model train layouts. John was excellent at woodworking and made several pieces of furniture around his house.
John loved his cats. He and his wife rescued cats that came to their home.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a niece, Christine English, of Milton; great-niece, Heidi Woodruff, of Tunkhannock and great-nephew, Richard “Ricky” English, of Milton. In addition, the following siter-in-laws and brother-in-laws: Sandy and (Wayne) Richard, Mifflinburg; Dorene and (Van) Reichelderfer, New Columbia; Darlene and (Kenny) Stahl, Mifflinburg and nephew, Chad and (Cathy) Boyer; Tim and (Nicki) Boyer, Sunbury and nieces Melissa Sue and Jennilee Ann Boyer.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Anne Kunkle.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
