John P. Shannon

John P. “John John” Shannon, 36, formerly of Williamsport and currently of Waller, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at UPMC, Williamsport.

Born February 6, 1989, in Williamsport, he was a son of Michael Sr. and Patricia (Burson) Shannon, who survive.

John attended Williamsport School District. He worked various jobs through the years including landscaping, mechanical work, and at Shop-Vac, Williamsport.

John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time outside, working on vehicles, riding four wheelers, or just having a family BBQ and being around family and friends.

He also enjoyed gaming, loved music, and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his fiancé, Brooke McWilliams, of Waller; one daughter, Paityn Shannon, of Williamsport; one sister, Melissa Shannon, of Williamsport; two brothers, Mike Shannon II and his fiancé, Skylar Gray, of Muncy, and Paul Shannon and his wife, Jordan, of Williamsport; a father and mother-in-law, James McWilliams and Brenda Peace; a brother-in-law, Brent McWilliams and his wife, Amanda; a sister-in-law, Christina Hillyard and her husband, Brandon; aunt and uncle Mary and Craig Martin and aunt Iris Sullivan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Burson Jr.; and paternal grandparents, John and Leona Shannon.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 5 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St. Muncy.

Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
