JoAnna M. Johnson, 87, of Montgomery, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Gatehouse.

Born January 22, 1939 in Phillipsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Cyril M. and Pauline C. (Petrazzani) Johnson.

JoAnna was a 1956 graduate of Montgomery High School. She worked as an executive secretary at LDI Industries, Montgomery for over 40 years before retiring.

She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy, where she enjoyed participating in church activities throughout the years.

JoAnna enjoyed gardening, reading and sitting on her back porch watching wildlife. She was fond of traveling, going out west and making ventures to Hawaii and Europe. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, going out to eat and shopping.

Surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Monica Zimmerman, of FL and Nancy (Barry) McQuay-Hackett, of New Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews, including those who helped her in recent years, Chris and Mike Johnson, Shaun McQuay and Heather McQuay-Watson; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, including Nolan Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Rose Marie Bressler, Delores DeWalt and Mary McQuay; a brother, Cyril M. Johnson, Jr.; and her companion of 30 years, Carl Fry.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Resurrection Cemetery, 4323 Lycoming Mall Drive, Montoursville, with Father Sean Carpenter, officiating.
