Joan M. Hann, 84, of Muncy, died Wednesday, Jul. 3, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born May 23, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Helen T. (McMahon) Sewell. She married Simon Hann, Jr., who preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2003. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Joan was a graduate of St. Brendan’s Catholic High School, Brooklyn, NY. She worked as a sales associate for the former Hess’s and Macy’s, retiring in 2012.
She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy, and a past president of the Women’s Organization.
Joan enjoyed reading, going to the beach and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She loved raising her family and watching her grandchildren.
Surviving are six children, Peter G. and Susan Hann, of Limestoneville, Michael T. Hann, of San Francisco, Kenneth and Joanne Hann, of Marlton, NJ, Patricia A. Smay, of Muncy, Gregory B. and Tracey Hann, of Bloomfield, NJ and Christopher T. and Sandy Hann, of Muncy; friend, Tammy L. Kriner, of Muncy, who was like a daughter; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and James Sewell.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, at the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Glenn McCreary, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either Rose View Center, 1201 Rural Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701 or the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, PA 17756.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
