Jo-Ann R. Sullivan

Jo-Ann R. Sullivan, 76, of Milton, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with her loving husband by her side.

Born October 12, 1949, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen (Heimbach) Bender. On August 22, 1970, she married James T. Sullivan, who survives. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage.

In earlier years, Jo-Ann worked for the Milton Standard Journal and later retired from the Northumberland County Housing Authority.

She was an avid reader and longtime member of the Milton Library. Most importantly, Jo-Ann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Jennifer Sullivan and husband Nate Wohlheiter, of Mifflinburg, and Mary Strawser and her husband Joseph, of North Pole, AK; four grandchildren, Brady, Dylan, Lane and Luke; and one brother, James Bender and his wife Joann, of Milton.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
