Janet L. Remish, 83, of Montgomery, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 9, 1942 in North Charleroi, she was a daughter of the late Holland and Ada (Moody) Gould. She married Steve Remish, who survives, and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Janet graduated with an Associate’s Degree and worked in the former Williamsport Hospital, now UPMC, in admissions.
When she was younger, Janet enjoyed bowling, sewing, playing bingo, and was a Girl Scout Leader. In later life, she had a love for spending time with family and friends at Knoebels Amusement Park and attending the Bloomsburg Fair.
Above all, her family was the most important part of her life. She loved her kids dearly and reveled in her role as “grandma” to her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Duane (Deb), of Effort, Wendy (Dave) Thomas, of Allenwood, Shawn (Patrizia), of Eagleville, and Scott, of Montgomery; and one sister, Gloria (Bob) Gerow, of TN.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Elsie Cole. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St. Muncy, where a Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m.
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
