Jane K Vance

Jane K. Vance, 80, of Hughesville, died Monday, July 14, 2026 surrounded by her family, at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born February 13, 1946 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Eldora F. (Millheim) Miller. She and her husband, Gary M. Vance, celebrated 20 years of marriage before his death Nov. 17, 2016.

Jane was a 1964 graduate of Muncy High School. She received her CNA certificate and worked for 25 years at the former Leader Nursing Home, Williamsport, before retiring.

Jane continued caring for family members as they aged, creating a peaceful passing for them.

A homebody, she enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and listening to Elvis. Jane enjoyed reading books and the company of her cats. She was also fond of scratching lottery tickets and playing Match 6.

Surviving are three daughters, Tammy (Ed Sr.) Koch, of Muncy, Jody Banks (Ronnie Diemer), of Williamsport and Gina (Rich) Michael, of Montoursville; a sister, Suellen Tecuanapa, of Naples, FL; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her twin brother, James R. Miller; and a daughter, Wendy Kepner.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at the Muncy Cemetery, 204 E. Penn St., Muncy, with the Rev. Thomas Brokow, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Jane's name be made to the American Cancer Society online at American Cancer Society.
