James R. Vansickle

James R. VanSickle, 33, of Selinsgrove, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Hershey Medical Center.

Born November 2, 1990 in Bradford, he was a son of Jeff and Monica (Szulanczyk) VanSickle, of Selinsgrove.

James was a 2009 graduate of Lewisburg High School, where he was a member of the National and German Honor Societies. In 2013 he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Entrepreneurship. James hosted a classic rock radio show on Susquehanna University’s campus.

He worked in accounts payable at OPSCO, Winfield for 8 years. James also volunteered with the Red Cross and was a Goodwill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association for 12 years.

In his spare time, James enjoyed travelling, listening to music and being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Michael VanSickle and his wife, Amber, and their children, Weston, Aubree and Wyatt, of Lewisburg; sister, Stephanie Talty and her husband, Tom, and their daughter, Clara, of West Milton; and his maternal grandmother, Rose Marie Szulanczyk, of Lewisburg.

The family is planning a Memorial Mass to be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 109 Market Street, Sunbury.
