James L. Park

January 28, 1935 — June 3, 2020

James L. Park, 85, of Watsontown, died on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born January 28, 1935 in Northumberland, a son of the late James L. and Florence (Mull) Park Sr.  On October 8, 1960 he married the former Beatrice Kinney, who survives.  Together they celebrated 59  years of marriage.

James was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School.  He served honorably in the United States Air Force for 20 years.  Following his time in the service, he worked various jobs, including at Lockheed Martin Avionics, Penn Wire Rope and Thermal Product Solutions (TPS).

He was a member of the Pine Street United Methodist Church, Williamsport.

James enjoyed participating in his bowling league, which included several perfect 300 games over the years.  He also loved reading western books and working in his garden.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Kerry Stahl, of Watsontown, Tina Marie and Bill Higdon, of Tucson, AZ, and Jeanette and Steve Schodt, of Allenwood; seven grandchildren, Christina, Tim, Virginia, Joshua, Amber, Michelle and Colton; and seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jovie, Lily, Hayleigh, Peyton, Hunter and Hailey.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, John Park, Kenny Park and Robert Egli; and one sister, Shirley Mae Gore.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Private Burial with full military honors will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
