Gretchen Ann Hayes-Donohue

Gretchen A. Hayes-Donohue, 52, of Muncy, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 1, 2026 at her home.

Born March 26, 1974 in Streetsboro, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Gail A. (Amsrud) Hayes.

Gretchen was a 1992 graduate of Muncy High School and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, receiving a degree in Nursing. She worked as a high stress ER Nurse in Arlington, VA for many years.

After moving back to Muncy, she met Thomas M. Donohue, Sr. Forming a bond over shared interests and travel, Gretchen found the love of her life and the two were married July 19, 2021. They shared a life together until Tom's passing Dec. 21, 2023.

Gretchen was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.

She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling and the companionship of her two Cavachons.

Gretchen loved the Steelers and Pitt football and playing Bingo at the Moose on Monday nights.

Surviving are a brother, Gregory (Kerry) Hayes, of Kintnersville; two nephews, David and Adam Schwartz; two step children, Charlene Donohue, of Washington and Thomas Donohue, Jr., of Washington D.C.; and three step grandchildren, Daniel Horn, Matthew Horn, and Elizabeth Horn.

Per Gretchen's wishes, she will be interred with Tom in Arlington National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
