Gary Wayne Reedy Sr.

Gary Wayne Reedy, Sr. 79, of New Columbia, died Monday, April 20, 2026 at home.

He was born on November 9, 1946 in Lewisburg to the late Fred N. and Louise R. (Wertman) Reedy. On May 31, 1986 he married the former June Yerg, who survives. Together they celebrated nearly 40 years of marriage.

Gary worked for Chef Boyardee, now Hometown Foods, Milton retiring after 45 years.

He was a member of Lewisburg Bible Church and the Cove Road Hunting Cabin. Gary was also a very active member of the White Deer Township Fire Company, running with both fire and EMS.

Gary loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Belinda Mae Koch and her companion, Earl Swartz, of Lewisburg; son, Gary Wayne Reedy, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of FL; step children, Kim Corle and her husband, Jim, of Etters and Clyde M. Keefer, of New Columbia; three brothers, Mervin Reedy and his wife, Dawne, of SC, Jim Reedy, of UT and Lee Reedy and his wife, Bonnie, of FL; grandchildren, Stephanie Reedy, Rena Koch, Johnathon Koch, Amanda Reedy, Gary Wayne Reedy III, Gage Reedy, Bethany Reedy, Korey Wayne Reedy and Kerenda Reese; step grandchildren, Lauren Pasternacki, Zackery Corle, Kylie Keefer and Lillia Keefer; and numerous great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn M. Reese.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16 at Lewisburg Bible Church, 311 Hospital Drive Lewisburg, where a Memorial service will be held at 11 with his pastor, Michael Wenger, officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery.
