Edmond A. Sherwood, 93, of Northumberland, died Friday, June 12, 2026 at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born August 12, 1932 in Lewisburg, he was the last surviving child of the late Henry and Virgin Mary Sherwood. On September 18, 1958, he married the former Thelma Mae Pannebaker, who survives. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage.
Edmond attended the Sodom Octagon Schoolhouse in Montandon. He served honorably in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. Edmond worked in highway construction a majority of his life. He also drove school bus and retired from Geisinger, Danville where he drove the parking lot bus for many years.
Edmond enjoyed being active, taking pleasure in yard work and gardening as well as refinishing furniture. He loved hunting in Bradford County, “God’s Country”, and had a large collection of owls.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Jason (Gloria) Sherwood, of Annville, Henry Sherwood, of Danville, Maxine (Larry) Davis, of Danville, Connie (Donnie) Sherman, of Montgomery and Christine Dawson, of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Chester Sherwood; daughter-in-law, Cindy Sherwood; and numerous siblings.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held a t a future date.
