Don L. Follmer Sr.

Don L. Follmer, Sr., 69, of Montgomery, died Friday, April 11, 2025 at Milton Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born May 15, 1955 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Harry Robert and Grace Lucille (Simons) Follmer.

Don was a 1974 graduate of Montgomery High School. After high school, he joined the United States Army for 10 years. His time of service began during the Vietnam War and later while serving in Germany, he learned to speak fluent German.

Don was a jack of all trades. At a young age he started helping his father around the garage and held various jobs throughout his life. Some of those jobs included general construction in Florida and Pennsylvania and the snack factory near Montgomery.

He was raised in the Lutheran faith.

Don was a member of the Bower-Decker Post 251, Montgomery.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with his brother, Dale.

Surviving are five children, Robert Follmer, Anna Follmer and Don L. Follmer, Jr. and his wife, Therese, all of Florida, Chad Follmer and Amanda Follmer, of Pennsylvania; five siblings, Andrew Follmer and his wife, Dee, of Montoursville, Harry “Bob” Follmer, Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Ralston, Joyce Houser and her husband, Donald , of Allenwood, June Walton and her husband, George, of Turbotville and Dale Follmer and his wife, Shelly, of Lewisburg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jason Follmer.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Deal, of the White Deer Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
