Denny D. Sampsell

Dennis D. “Denny” Sampsell, 67, of Mazeppa, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Milton Nursing and Rehab.

Born on February 28, 1958, in Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Herman “Pete” Jr. and Roberta (Robinson) Sampsell. He married the former Linda Shrawder, who survives. Together they celebrated 39 years of marriage.

Denny was a 1976 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. He spent much of his early years working as a roofer with his father in their family business. More recently, Denny worked for ACF Industries, Milton.

He loved fishing and hunting, especially trips out west with his dad. In younger years Denny also enjoyed playing baseball and riding motorcycle. He also cherished the time spent with his son.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Ron Shumate, of Sunbury; one sister-in-law, Donna Shrawder, of Northumberland; and one brother-in-law, Galen Shrawder Jr., of Millmont.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Kyle Sampsell; and one sister in infancy, Debra Sampsell.

Private services and interment will be held in Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
