Craig L. “Elmo” Kitner, 63, of Allenwood, died Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his home.

Born April 14, 1962, in Lewisburg, he was a son of the late Merl L. Kitner and Dorothy (Benfer) Ward.

Craig attended Montgomery schools. He owned and operated his own garage, Kitner’s Garage.

He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing, including helping with children’s fishing derbies. Craig also was affiliated with Link’d Outdoorz.

He was a member of the Black Hole Creek Watershed, Bower Decker Post 251 American Legion, Montgomery, the Washington Township Fire Company and a current board member of the Susquehanna Boat Club.

Surviving are his significant other, Donna Cook, of Allenwood; two brothers, Tracy (Tammy) Kitner, of Montoursville and Troy (Laura) Kitner, of Watsontown; and a nephew, Matthew Jarrett, of Montoursville.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Tammy Kitner in infancy, and Kristin Dehotman.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 15 at Grenoble Funeral Home & Crematory, 308 Main St. Watsontown.

A celebration of Craig’s life will follow at the Bower Decker Post 251 American Legion, 185 Broad St. Montgomery.
