Charles M. Moore, Jr., 90, of Watsontown, died on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Watsontown Health & Rehabilitation.
Born on August 24, 1935 in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Charles M., Sr. and Ida Moore.
Charlie served in the United States Navy and Air Force for over 20 years. He taught in various Maryland schools in Anne Arundel County prior to teaching troubled youths in Pittsburgh. After retiring he owned and operated C&C Cigar Shop, Lewisburg for a number of years.
He loved music, especially playing his harmonica and was known for playing Jazz and Blues music. He was a regular at the BullFrog Brewery and often sat in and played with the local bands.
Charlie enjoyed cutting his grass on the farm and could always be found sitting on his porch smoking his pipe.
Surviving are a son, Paul (Betsey) Moore, of Florida; daughter, Kathy (David) Moore, of WV; six grandchildren, Eric (Ruthie) Moore, Liz Moore, Carolina Rascon, Miguel Rascon, Javier Rascon and Gabrielle Hoffman; stepdaughter, Kerry Hoffman, of Watsontown and dear friends, Orlando and Aida Acosta, of Watsontown.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his lifelong partner, Shirley Hoffman in 2014 and stepson and his wife, Craig and Sandy Hoffman.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
