Catherine "Katie" Decarlo

Catherine “Katie” DeCarlo, 49, of Heatherbrooke Estates, Muncy, died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her home.

Born March 2, 1971 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Robert A. Meehan and Catherine T. (Saurman) Meehan, of Muncy. On October 30, 2011 she married Stephen C. “Artie” Decarlo, who preceded her in death May 14, 2019. Together they celebrated 7 years of marriage.

Katie graduated from Girls High school, Philadelphia and from Kaplan University in 2015 with a degree in medical billing and coding.

She previously worked for UPS in the East Chesapeake District, Philadelphia from 2006 to 2013. Most recently, Katie worked for Dr. Elangbam’s office as a billing specialist for a number of years. She also took care of her mother.

Katie was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.

She enjoyed crafts and painting. Katie had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone and not expect anything in return.

Surviving in addition to her mother are a brother, Michael Meehan, of Muncy; a sister and brother-in-law, Bridget and Steven Marinelli, of Philadelphia; a nephew, Shawn Phelan and a niece, Deonna Cantwell, both of Philadelphia.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 16 in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made the Church of the Resurrection, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, PA 17756.
