Blaine Allen Trutt

Blaine A. Trutt, 79, of Watsontown, died peacefully Friday, August 28, 2026 at Watsontown Health and Rehab.

He was born September 12, 1946 in Williamsport, a son of the late Harold A. Trutt and Barbara J. (Allen) Stephens. On this day 61 years ago Rev. Arthur married Blaine and the former Leslie "Jo Ann" Berger, at the Watsontown United Methodist Church. Together they nurtured many friendships and a loving family.

Blaine was a 1964 graduate of Watsontown High School and a graduate of the Thompson Institute in Harrisburg and with that knowledge worked at Brodart's in Williamsport for a short time. Blaine then worked at Montgomery Mills until they closed. Following a desire to serve the community, he became a part-time policeman in Watsontown. After the flood of 1972, Blaine took a permanent position at SCI, Muncy, where he would retire as the Gatehouse Sargeant.

Blaine loved hunting and on one of his first dates with Jo Ann took her ground hog hunting. He enjoyed riding his Triumph with Jo Ann, especially on back roads and with a group of friends from SCI, Muncy, participating in the Miracle tour from Knoebles every year. Blaine also loved trains and woodworking, creating a variety of cut-outs.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Sheri M. (Shawn) Webb and granddaughter, Tenneille N. Webb, of Watsontown; a son, Michael C. (Marguerita) Trutt and grandchildren, Landon Trutt, Melanie Trutt, Kaylee Trutt, of Florida; a sister, Joanne (Trutt) Sampsell, of Milton; and three half-sisters, Renee Coradetti, Kathy Eddinger and Barbara Scutt.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Michael Trutt, in adolescence; half-sister, Stevia Cloud.

Friends are invited to pay their respects from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Grenoble Funeral Home and Crematory, 308 Main St., Watsontown.

Burial will be held privately in the Watsontown Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
