Benjamin L. Jenkins, 83, of Watsontown, died Monday, December 1, 2025, at WeCare at Sycamore, Montoursville.
Born May 25, 1942, in Millmont, he was a son of the lateBerlin and Katherine (Kurtz) Jenkins. On November 24, 1962, he married the former Elsie Mae Beaver, who predeceased him on December 5, 2014.
Benjamin was a graduate of Lewisburg High School. He retired from the former Chef Boyardee, now ConAgra, Milton.
He was a member of Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, Milton.
Benjamin enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He also liked to bowl and even worked in high school at the former Campus Lanes Bowling, Lewisburg, before it was destroyed by a fire in 1972.
Surviving are three children, Debbie Shoemaker and her husband, Paul, of Watsontown, Benjamin “Buster” Jenkins and his wife, Tracy, of Milton, and Rebecca Jenkins, of Watsontown; one brother, Ken Fraboni, of Milton; four grandchildren, Brooke Wertz, Amanda Shultz, Tyler Jenkins and Andrew Nickelson; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by four sisters, Gloria, Barbara, Mary Jane and Virginia, in infancy; two brothers, Bud and William Sr.; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Mae Nickelson.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, December 5 at Grenoble Funeral Home & Crematory, 308 Main St. Watsontown, where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Winnie Schweikart, officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
