Alice Florence Thomas

Alice F. Thomas, 87, of Muncy died Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Born the sixth month the second of 1939 in Delaware Twp., she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Katherine (Dauberman) Deeter. On July 12, 1957 she married Francis E. "Jim" Thomas. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage before his death December 6, 2021.

Alice attended a one room school house on Musser Lane. She worked at several area sewing factories over the years. After she retired, Alice enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.

She was a member of New Covenant Assembly of God, Montgomery.

Alice loved to read, especially her Bible. She was also fond of dancing and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Rick (Pam) Thomas, of Watsontown, Janet (Carl) Ault, of Washingtonville, Jerry (Eva) Thomas, of Muncy, Greg (Rhonda) Thomas, of Watsontown and Jimmy (Jeannie) Thomas, of Montgomery; four sisters, Betty Applegate, of Muncy, Rosemary Hill and Alverta Buck, both of Montgomery and Edith George, of Shamokin; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Holly Thomas; grandson, J.J.; three brothers, Robert, Lloyd and Harry Deeter; and a sister, Venita Fuller.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026 at New Covenant Assembly of God, 1270 Pinchtown Rd., Montgomery, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Pentz, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.
