Dorothy I. (Kratzer) Staley, 93, of Milton, went home to be with her Jesus on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her home.
She was born April 2, 1930 in Penn Twp., Snyder County, a daughter of the late Artie and Carrie (Hollenbach) Kratzer. On April 18, 1953 she married Thomas E. Staley who preceded her in death on May 1, 1992. Together they celebrated 39 years of marriage.
Dorothy attended Boyer’s one room School House in Penn Twp. In her early years she worked for Nite Kraft, Real French Cleaners, and JPM Industries. She spent most of her life raising and caring for her family.
Dorothy was a member of Zion’s Church of Kratzerville. She enjoyed working in her yard through the years, and more recently, loved doing jumble word puzzles and Sudoku.
Surviving are one daughter, Lori Staley and her partner, Russell Jarrard, of Danville; one sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Ernie Snook, of New Berlin; two grandchildren, Christopher Aikey and his wife, Melody, and Amber Aikey; and four great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Isabella, Emily and Olivia Aikey, all of whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Gregory Staley; and three sisters, Bertha Hackenberg, Arla Berger and Ethel Wenrich.
Services are being planned and will be announced at a later date.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
