Robert J. Hacker, 83, of Muncy, died Friday, December 20, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born September 25, 1936 in Teaneck, NJ, he was a son of the late Oscar and Marie (Prauner) Hacker. He and his wife, the former Elaine K. Smith, who survives, were married October 15, 1988. Together they celebrated 31 years of marriage.
Robert graduated high school in New Jersey. He owned and operated Williamsport Steel Rule Die.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Muncy.
Having a passion for Opera, Robert was a member of the Williamsport Music Club and a former member of the Northeast Opera Company, Scranton.
He also enjoyed traveling with his wife.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Ginger Hacker, of Linden; one daughter, Holly Hacker, of Allentown; one step son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Denise Johnson, of Ephrata; one nephew, Chris Hacker and his wife, Vena, of TX; four grandsons; and his beloved dog, Brady.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Robin Hacker-Lancaster; and one brother, Richard Hacker.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in the Muncy Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Robert’s memory be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St. Muncy.
