Rita V. Gudleski

Rita V. Gudleski, 90, of Muncy, died Monday, May 14, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Born June 25, 1927, in Mt. Carmel, she was the seventh daughter and the eleventh child of the late Joseph and Angela “Ella” Luchnick. On August 16, 1947 she married Edward T. Gudleski, who preceded her in death May 24, 1978. Together they celebrated 30 years of marriage.

Rita was a graduate of high school in Mt. Carmel. She retired from a private mental health agency in New Jersey, where she took great pride in her work as an executive secretary.

Rita was a 20 year member of the Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.

She loved spending time caring for and raising her three pugs.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carin and Stephen Mercurio, of Millville and Sandra and John Rempusheski, of Middletown, NJ; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stephen and Renee Gudleski, of NJ and Michael Gudleski, of New York City; one sister, Barbara Zelinski, of Delaware; and one granddaughter, Lauren Rempusheski.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Church of the Resurrection , 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Glenn McCreary, officiating.

Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mt. Carmel.
