Patricia Ann “Tricia” Shultz, 49, of Muncy, was tragically killed in a car vehicle accident on Thursday, June 22, 2017 around 12:20 a.m., while on her way home from work, within one mile of home. She was rear-ended at a high rate of speed by a probable intoxicated driver.

Born March 28, 1968 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Gladys Joyce Dwinnells, of Linden. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, David L.. Shultz; children, Jonathan Frederick Dwinnells and his fiancé , Amanda Bitler, of Bloomsburg, Carrie Joyce Hostrander, of Watsontown and Seth Monroe Hill, of Williamsport; a stepson, Wesley Shultz, of Ohio; numerous cousins in the New Hampshire area; and her fur babies, Gracie Ann and Chloe Mae.

Tricia was a 1986 graduate of Williamsport Area High School participating in the Millionaire’s Marching Band and performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. She then enlisted in the Air Force serving at Grand Forks AFB, ND, Sheppard AFB, TX and Suwon AFB, South Korea during the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.

Tricia was a volunteer EMT/Firefighter with the Montgomery Fire Dept. and worked as a paid EMT with the Williamsport Area Ambulance Service for many years. Currently she was employed as an intake tech in detox at the White Deer Run Treatment Center. She was promoted to case manager beginning on July 4th.

Tricia was a second mom and home to many kids in the Montgomery area while her kids were growing up. She was very involved in their sporting events. She enjoyed helping others and had a very loving and outgoing personality. She was very proud to become a mother in law in September from Jon and Amanda and a grandmother from her daughter Carrie in November.

Tricia was very active with her church family at St. Andrew Lutheran, being a member in Sunday school and choir.

The family is planning a service to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Main and Penn streets, Muncy, with her pastor, the Rev. Daniel P. Landin, officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
